Client: German Health Insurance Company “AOK Nordwest”.
Task: Development of multiple characters for an interactive self-help platform to fight depression and anxiety “Moodgym”.
First three illustrations were created to present the platform, how it can be used and its purpose.
Illustration with a woman on her way to the mountain. The task was to depict a woman of 60 y.o. who broke her leg and now realizes that physical trauma has shaken her mental balance. Regular exercises on the self-help platform help her find the Balance and courage again. She also decides to travel more.
Illustration with two men on a bench. The task was to depict a man of 50 y.o. who wants to do more things that he enjoys. If he has a situation interpreted negatively in life, he decides to ask his friends and colleagues for their advice.
Illustration with a woman by the world map. The task was to depict a woman of 64y.o., who faced multiple challenges in her life (divorce, death of her father, raising three children on her own), but found her way back with the help of Moodgym. Online self-help gives her the idea of shaping her future more actively. She makes a list of cities she would like to visit and signs up for a sports club.
Illustration with a man in a hammock. The task was to depict a man, who thought about success as a must goal, but who learned through Moodgym to let things go a little and to relax.
Illustration with a woman on a scale. The task was to depict a young woman, that tends to think in an all-or-nothing way. Every setback is for her a disaster. Through the exercise from Moodgym” she succeeds in replacing distorted thoughts with alternative ones.
